Home is where the heart is

That’s what they say

But it’s hard to find the place

Where your heart comes to stay

And what if in this home

The heart gets battered, bruised and torn?

What if instead of safety

Comes pain like never before?

I’ll tell you what can happen

If to your home you’re true

This pain can make you stronger

Make your home solid all through

For hearts are made for love

And love can break and mend

You’ll find the broken pieces

Can be made whole again

The secret to this healing

Is God at the center of all

With Him hearts can bounce back again

Even after a heavy fall

This lesson I am learning –

Whatever we may go through

It has become more than real to me

That my home is forever with you
